Key Responsibilities:

  •  Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement effective sales strategies to meet company revenue and growth targets within the merchandising division.
  •  Team Leadership: Supervise, coach, and motivate the sales team, setting clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure optimal performance.
  •  Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, distributors, and other stakeholders, ensuring a deep understanding of client needs.
  •  Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to make data-driven decisions for merchandising strategies and initiatives.
  •  Sales Forecasting: Work closely with finance and inventory teams to accurately forecast sales, monitor stock levels, and manage inventory turnover.
  •  Promotional Activities: Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute promotional campaigns that drive product visibility and sales.
  •  Performance Reporting: Regularly track and report sales metrics, KPIs, and other performance indicators to senior leadership.
  •  Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product development and marketing teams to optimize product placement, pricing, and promotion strategies.
  •  Budget Management: Oversee sales budget allocations for the merchandising division, ensuring effective use of resources and adherence to financial targets.
Skills & Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  •  5+ years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role within the merchandising sector.
  •  Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  •  Strong understanding of merchandising practices, retail trends, and consumer buying behavior.
  •  Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  •  Proficiency in CRM software, sales analytics, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  •  Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
