Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement effective sales strategies to meet company revenue and growth targets within the merchandising division.
Team Leadership: Supervise, coach, and motivate the sales team, setting clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure optimal performance.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, distributors, and other stakeholders, ensuring a deep understanding of client needs.
Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to make data-driven decisions for merchandising strategies and initiatives.
Sales Forecasting: Work closely with finance and inventory teams to accurately forecast sales, monitor stock levels, and manage inventory turnover.
Promotional Activities: Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute promotional campaigns that drive product visibility and sales.
Performance Reporting: Regularly track and report sales metrics, KPIs, and other performance indicators to senior leadership.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product development and marketing teams to optimize product placement, pricing, and promotion strategies.
Budget Management: Oversee sales budget allocations for the merchandising division, ensuring effective use of resources and adherence to financial targets.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA is a plus.
5+ years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role within the merchandising sector.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Strong understanding of merchandising practices, retail trends, and consumer buying behavior.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in CRM software, sales analytics, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
